We often forget that we don't just read books- we also read magazines, websites, street signs, the backs of cereal boxes, and more.

I read about how Chad reed recently got hand surgery. Because he crashed two weeks ago in Anaheim 2.
ReplyDeleteI read the Iliad by Homer. What happened was Zeus has decided to allow the Achaeans to win the battle of troy and has just sent their leader a message in the form of a dream.

ReplyDeletethe book i read in these 20 minutes is a book called identical. i don't really know what happened in what i read. but what i got out of it was that it is about these twin identical girls, and one is completly like the mother and the other is completly like the fahter. but the father and mother arn't together anymore because of when the parents got in a car accident. then it said something about how everyone thinks that the twins are the exact same way but they are the same on the outside but in the inside they are totally differnt. i was really confused with this book but oh well ...(:
ReplyDeleteI read the 4th book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series, The Battle of the Labyrinth. I read about Percy's dream, which told him how King Minos died. Minos was searching for his betrayer, Deadelus. The Princesses in the palace where Minos visited cared for the king's betrayer, and killed Minos, so he wouldn't take Deadelus away from them. Then his dream showed Luke, fumbling with a map in the Labyrinth, a maze that plays with your mind, obviously lost. I learned that if you love someone, you will take larger risks to keep them safe, as the Princesses did for Deadelus. If I were in their shoes I would have secretly held the King prisoner, until he vowed not to ever hurt Deadelus. Although, the Princesses did not know the things Deadelus had done in the past. He killed hi nephew. If they had known his sin, they may have turned him over to Minos.

ReplyDeleteI am reading Identical by Ellen Hopkins. Kaeleigh has a secret that she is too scared to tell anyone. She has had this secret since she was a little girl and now she is 16. She works at a nursing home and has an old friend there named Greta. Greta knows that something is wrong so she tells Kaeleigh her secret which is the same as Kaeleigh's.
ReplyDeleteI was reading articles about haiti. From what i read and saw, i know that it is still only the beginning. As of now things have settled down but the aid is horrible. There are still many who need aid and food. Organizations like the American Red Cross, and CARE are still collecting money for aid and food but also now they are collecting money for supplies to help clean up the debris. Updates are posted in the New York Times and other papers and websites.
ReplyDeleteI just started reading "The Pact" by: Jodi Picoult. so far i know there are these two families that have known each other forever. the go to this Chinese resturant every Friday i think. there they talk about the family and jobs. i just left off when James had to leave fort he hospital because his son was in the well hospital.
ReplyDeleteWhat I was reading today was about animals and how they are a big part of your family. It also talked about that if you have a dog that they are really easy to talk to. Also if you are a different color or something else they will not judge you because they are really good listeners, and will listen to anything that you have to say to them.
ReplyDeleteI read a book called Impluse by Ellen Hopkins and it is about three teens who go to a treatment center because they all tried to commit suicide.
ReplyDeleteI read part of The Titan's Curse today. I have been wanting to read it for about a week now (I have not been able to read since last time we did SSR....was that Tuesday?) I had to re-read the last few pages because I didn't know what happened anymore!!!! Basically, I am at the part in the book when Percy meets with Aphrodite. The Hunters and Grover think Aphrodite has come to trick Percy into something; she warns him not to go into her husband's territory or something bad will happen.
ReplyDeleteSince a lot of bad things USUALLY happen when gods or goddesses make an appearance, I am just WAITING for something to happen. I can't wait to read with 8-2 to find out!

ReplyDeleteMatt is a clone of a man named El Patrón. El Patrón just had a heart attack at the age of 148 and got a heart transplant, while he was having the transplant Matt went to a waste management dump and got very ill.

ReplyDeleteThe book i am reading is called keeping the moon and i started reading some more of it...and i'm on the part where Nicole (Colie) is gone for the summer and staying with her aunt Mira in Colby, North Carolina because her mom is really busy because she is Kiki palmer and she is like an aerobics teacher and she has her own tv show about losing weight and stuff...and so Nicole meets these two girls Morgan and Isabel. Isabel doesn't really like Colie and is really rude to her when they first meet but then Morgan makes her go to Colie's aunts house and apolgize for being so rude. Isabel and morgan live right across the street from Colie's aunt. Morgan said that isabel can be really mean or something like that and Colie asked Morgan why she deals with it and morgan says "because she's all i have." So one day at the Last chance bar and grill they were having a rush of all kinds of people and Colie gets to help out...so she gets a job there and at first she was really nervous but on the third table she went to she was fine...and now she is friends with Morgan but Isabel still hates Colie...that's all i know so far:]
