Good Morning, Everyone!
You have just spent about 30 minutes looking over each other's work and taking notes on what has impressed you about, what you like about it, and what you learned from it.
Please write a comment to this post that includes:
1. All of the people's work that you saw and your thoughts about each one. Use complete sentences, proper punctuation, and all of that...
2. What assignments you had for "show and tell" and what you learned from completing the assignments or why you enjoyed doing them.

Taylor-i dont understand the matching part of your quiz but the other part was good
ReplyDeleteIan-had a go vase drawing
arafat- none of your assignments were finished
Sydney Curran - Greek God Cards
ReplyDeleteThoughts: Sydney chose ideal pictures that were similarly drawn, organized, and represented the Greek Gods she chose very well, so that when I looked at them I could name each God by their picture without actually looking at her card information.
Tyler Gagne - Vase
Thoughts: Tyler was the only person in 8-3 to color his vase design, showing the effort he put into making the piece. His drawing was also thorough, and somehow explained the scene her was describing very well.
Whitney Butts - Lightning Thief Quiz
Thoughts: Whitney was careful to bold the answers to her quiz questions, so it was easier for me to follow the assignment. She also thoroughly explained each of her short answers questions, and I could tell she had put a lot of thought I into them by the specific questions she chose to answer.
Ian's quiz looked thoughtfully done and very neat. Cullen's Quiz and vase looked organized, thoughtful, and neat. Julian's cards quiz and vase looked thought through especially with the pictures on the cards.
ReplyDeleteSydness's Quiz: I liked your questions because it shows that you really did read the book, it was very neat and offical, and final draft quality
ReplyDeleteJustin's Vase, Cards, Quiz: Your vase is very cute and funnay and awesomenessicles! I think your cards are very good with lots of detail, and your test is very nice and organized.
Tia's Vase: I think your drawings are very cute and good, and full of detail. That's really good because its how I pictured the scene in my head.
Ian- your test looks like it would be hard to take and looks like it took a long time to do.
ReplyDeleteMatt- your test looked really hard
will- test looks complicated...
Matt had all 3 assignments and his quiz was a little bit compressed but the questions were good.
ReplyDeleteTyler had everything and his vase was colorful,
Julian had had his quiz and his cards, his quiz was a tiny bit disorganized but other than that it was good.
Arafat
ReplyDelete-Everything is done.
-Everything is done to the standards but he is not striving for quality work.
Taylor
-Everything is done.
-Very neat and thoughtful, she put in a lot of effort to strive for quality work.
Cullen
-Everything is done
-Everything is done to the standards but he is not striving for quality work.
I saw Cullen's work he had his vase, cards and his test.he did very good effort on his drawing. the test was very well done.
ReplyDeleteI saw Tyler's cards, vase and test he did a good job on his test and a nice colorful drawing. he had good facts on the back of his cards.
I saw Ian's test, vase and cards he had a very good drawing. colorful cards and a good test.
Chrissy: I found that the humor in your illustrations for your vase was very comical and cute. I loved the comic-like thought bubbles you had for your characters. For your quiz, I found it easy and understandable expect for the matching section, but besides that it was good. And your cards were factual and I liked the pictures you used.
ReplyDeleteTia: I loved your illustrations as well, but the thing I loved the most was the thought bubble with the smiley face for Percy as he drenches Clarisse in toilet water. LOL!
Justin:Your vase makes me laugh! I love the flying animals with the knives! LOL! Your quiz at some spelling mistakes, but besides that it was good, and your cards were well put together
Whitney Butts- When I was looking over your make your own quiz/test I could tell that you worked very hard on it. I could also tell that you used your time wisely. You also thought a lot about your questions that you picked.
ReplyDeleteJulian Zuke- When I was looking at your cards and you test/quiz I could tell that you worked hard and took you time on working on the cards because they are done neat and thoughtful.
Michaela Courtney- When I was looking at your cards I could tell that you really used your time wisely and you took your time and did not rush through them. When I was looking at your test you really must have thought about the questions that you were using.
For "Show and Tell" I had all of my assignment completed. 1) The Lightning Thief Quiz, 2) The Vase design, 3) The Greek God War Cards.
ReplyDeleteBy doing these assignment, it kept the storyline of the Lightning Thief fresh in my mind, since by completed the work, we kept going bck and reviewing what had happened in the book so far. It helped me keep track of important things that took place in the Lightning Thief novel, even though I had already finished the book. :)The Greek Good Cards helped me understand the background more of each Greek God so that when I read the book, I understood the storyline a bit better than I would have if we hadn't made the cards. It is for this reason that I enjoyed doing the Lightning Thief quiz the most, because I had to think a lot more about what had happened.
Justin-
ReplyDeleteI really liked your quiz! It looks like you put a lot of thought and time into making the quiz. It’s very organized! It looks really hard too!
Christina-
I really love your vase. It's funny, but it makes sense. I love how you choose this scene. It's one of my favorites. It makes me laugh when I look at this piece!
Sydney-
It looks like you put a lot of thought into your cards. It really seems like you know the gods well and you have a lot of knowledge about the gods. It's very organized! Good job!
Camden;cards: I like how you wrote a strength, known for, weakness, and fun fact about each person and you put them into categories.
ReplyDeleteEmily;vase: I like how you call the trident a trifork. It's good that you didn't do the same scene as everybody else (the toilet scene). I like the way you drew Percy.
Chrissy;quiz: The matching at the beginning was a little confusing, but the rest of the questions were good.
I shared all of my pieces and I really enjoyed making the quiz because I got to ask the questions that I would like to see on a quiz.
1) The peoples papers that I checked out were Julian, Taylor Raymond, and Camden. For Julian on his quiz I thought that he was very thoughtful, some of his words were misspelled, organized, creative, and his essay was very specific. His cards were well thought out, information was good and realistic, and the pictures were very good. For Taylor hr quiz was a little bit confusing in the matching section, well thought and very well organized. Her vase and cards were very good and artistic and was very well at what was happening in the vase picture. Lastly, I thought that Camden's quiz was very straight forward, organized, creative, and well thought out, and also the quiz had great information. The vase was very very created because of his artistic skills, and was very creative and easy to see what was happening. His cards were organized, neatly done, well created, and I really liked the font that h used on the front. (:
ReplyDelete2) The assignments that I had for "show and tell" were the quiz I had to make, the vase that I had to draw, and my Greek cards were done. Something I enjoyed doing while I was doing making my quiz was being able to pick what questions that I understood the answer to. The vase drawing I didn't really enjoy because my artistic skills stink. Lastly, with my cards I learned a lot of cool and interesting facts about the Greek gods, goddesses and the Greek mythology creatures.
i had all of my assingments in.
ReplyDeletei learned that making a test can be harder than it sounds.
Jordan- His vase drawing was good. It really got the point across to the scene so when you looked at it, you knew what was going on.
ReplyDeleteMichaela- It was really good. She showed a lot of detail especially with the cool design at the bottom of your vase. Your quiz and cards were good and showed effort. I like the multiple choice questions on your quiz!
Kylie- Your vase was full of detail and your picture gets right to the point to telling me what's happening. I thought it showed a lot of effort and if i were not to read the book, i would still be able to understand what's happening in your scene.
Cullen's vase was verey artistic and his test was well done and his cards were good. matt's test was good and hisvase was well done and his cards were good. tyler's cards were artistic and his vase was creativ and his quize was good.
ReplyDeleteFor "show and tell" I enjoyed doing the Greek cards, because I find Greek Mythology interesting so when we started to do research was I was excited to find out more. It was also interesting to do the vase because it help me show my artistic side (even though it's not much of an artistic side) to my classmates.
ReplyDeleteSYDNEY CURRAN
ReplyDeleteVase
-Could use some color
-Detailed pictures but the story the pictures tell could be clearer
-ILOVEYOU!!!!!
TIA MADDEN
-Very Cute
-Could use some more pictures to show whats going on in the ! story and maybe some color would help but i love it
CAMDEN LOESER
-Vase:really detailed, it doesn't need color to look great, it looks like a real vase from greek times.
-Cards:would be great if Mr. L didn't suck at laminating things!
-Test: please don't make me take this it is really hard!!!
For my "show and tell" I did the make your own quiz, the Greek cards, and the vase. Everything I did was done. I like doing the vase thingy (even though I stink at drawing) but I thought it was fun. I sorta enjoyed doing the quiz because I got to choose the questions so I new what was coming when I answered the questions :). The Greek cards were okay because I liked learning new things about the gods, but I wish we could have done it in a different way.
ReplyDeleteI saw John's Greek God Cards, Vase, and his Quiz. It was interesting what he did with the vase. Even though it looked like there were invisible people.I saw John's Greek God Cards, Vase, and his Quiz. The quiz was tricky and a little hard to read but a good challenge. The cards were great.
ReplyDeleteI also saw Linsday's Quiz and Vase. The vase was creative but why was he laying on the floor. The Quiz was pretty straight froward so it was easy to understand
Then i saw Camden's and I was impressed. There was a lot of detale in the vase. the cards had good info and the quiz was very stright forward.
John: His world was well done, neat, and organized. Everything was complete and well thought out,it doesn't looked at all like he rushed.
ReplyDeleteArafat: You need to work on your spelling!!!! You also need to finish the vase, but everything else was done well.
Taylor: Everything was neatly thought out and completed. But on the quiz some of the wording and grammar needed to be fixed.
i passed in all of my assignments. I could of put more effort into my quiz i just didn't. I have learned that it is hard making quizes because you have to make sure you dont repeat anything.
ReplyDeleteI had all three assignments. I learned many things about greek gods cause of these assignments.
